Orange Giant Frogfish, Antennarius commerson

The Giant Frogfish or Commerson’s Frogfish is capable of changing colours to camouflage in its surrounding. Usually the body is a yellow or orange with darker shades blended in.

The Giant Frogfish is equipped with a dangling lure above its head and will attract small fish within striking distance and swallow the unsuspecting fish whole.  They will usually rest on  live rock or the substrate.  Provide plenty of live rock with sandy substrate in a peaceful community tank.  Keep one per tank.  The Giant Frogfish will eat smaller fish and crustaceans.
