Messmate pipefish, Corythoichthys haematopterus

This species lives in shallow water and can be found in rubble or occasionally in coral areas. Either solitary or occurs in large numbers. Has fine lines on its head and a series of spots over the back and along its trunk. Its length is up to 18 cm.
